Obama visit to Turkey, Malaysia and the Philippines
US President Barack Obama will visit Turkey, Malaysia and the Philippines 14-22 November to take part in summits, he said on Monday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest.
In Turkey, will participate in the G-20 summit, the group of government and central bank governors from 19 major economies and the European Union.
Obama will attend the Summit for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in the Philippines and Malaysia will participate in the session US-ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) and the East Asia Summit.
According to the statement, Obama visits are intended "to promote US strategy to balance with the Asia-Pacific in all its dimensions, among which and [...] cooperation political, economic and security" and to expand opportunities for US companies and workers to sell their products in the rapidly growing markets of the world.
