Twenty-two elephants were found dead in Zimbabwe, who probably poisoned with cyanide by poachers, today announced the beginning of the national parks of the country.

"We found 22 dead elephants in the zone of Sianamatela" near Huang, in the western part of the country, the main sanctuary of Zimbabwe, "and so far we have found 35 tusks," he told AFP spokeswoman Caroline Ouasagia parks.
"According to preliminary data research, elephants were poisoned with cyanide," he explained.
"We will continue to exert pressure in order to impose dissuasive fines on those caught in possession of a poison such as cyanide. We can not lose our wildlife in such an alarming rate, "he added.
For less than two weeks 26 elephants were poisoned out of the park Huang and Tzimpanini, not far from the border with Botswana. Also last month, at least 14 elephants had the same fate.
The poachers kill elephants for their tusks, which are sold on the black market, especially the Chinese. At 30,000 to 40,000 calculated elephants killed per year in Africa to feed this trafficking, endangering medium term survival of the species.
Last year more than 300 elephants were poisoned with cyanide that had been placed near places where they go to drink water in Zimbabwe.
