The poll, which exclusively reported the Reuters news agency and held the weekend after the attacks in Paris, showed that 63% of Americans expressed fears that an attack similar to that of the French capital could be committed close to him, while the issue of national security emerging as dominant in the battle for the White House win for the presidential elections of 2016.

The survey also showed that 52% of Americans believe that the states that refugees who fled for their lives from Syria are less safe.
However, recorded divisions on whether states should stop refugees, according to the poll.
40% say that countries should continue to receive refugees since these people left their homes to escape from terrorism.
By contrast, 41% say that countries should stop refugees because of the terrorist threat.
