Putin summit talks after the tete-a-tete with Assad


O Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his visit last night in Moscow of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, announced today Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman.

The two presidents "discussed the situation in Syria. In this context, the head of the Russian state briefed his Turkish counterpart on the results of the visit last night in Moscow of President Bashar al-Assad "stressed the spokesman, as reported Russian news agencies.

The Turkish Presidency for its part confirmed the telephone conversation between the two leaders, according to the Turkish agency East, which reported further that there will be a bilateral meeting between the two presidents at the G20 summit due to be held in November in Antalya in the southern part of Turkey.

The head of the Turkish state expressed the Russian president during their telephone conversation concerned that the attacks in the province of Aleppo and its surroundings could cause new mass flows of refugees, informed sources of the Turkish presidency.
According to the same sources, Erdogan underlined the importance given by Ankara to fight "all terrorist organizations, including the Dae (Islamic State)" and highlighted the ties between militants of protecting groups of the Kurdistan People (YPG) and Fighter the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

The head of the Russian state also spoke with the king of Saudi Arabia Salman, whom he briefed on the results of the visit of Bashar al-Assad in Moscow.

Meanwhile the Russian Defense Ministry reported today in conversations intercepted by the secret services and which sound commanders of the Islamic State to discuss with comrades of the Front Al Nosra about the possibility to join forces in order to impose government forces, reported the agency Ria Novosti.

"The information on the opening of talks between the commanders of several large units of the terrorist organization Al Nosra with the commanders of the Islamic State in order to join forces to repel the attack of the Syrian army were recorded by the secret services monitor radio communications," said the Lieutenant Igor Konasenkof.
