Johnson says London worries about violence, but vote was not constitutional

Britain is concerned about the violence that took place during Spain's blocked referendum on Catalan independence, but considers the vote unconstitutional, Foreign Minister Boris Johnson said today.
"Obviously we are concerned about all violence, but it is clear that the referendum, as I understand it, is not constitutional, so there is a need for some balance," Johnson told the Reuters agency. "We hope things will calm down."
