The latest information on how to participate in the second round of the primaries of the center-right party in France formed, in view of the 2017 presidential elections show that the turnout was 4.5% higher compared to that same time when first round of elections, informed the organizers of the vote.
Thierry Soler, chairman of the Committee organizing the vote in the Republican party, told reporters today that the participation amounted to more than 2.9 million voters at 18.00 local time, with 78% of polling stations to be taken into account.
Former French Prime Minister Francois Fillon won the first round against Alain Alain Juppe, also a former prime minister and mayor of Bordeaux.
Approximately four million voters went to the polls in the first round of qualifiers.
