Turkey believes that the new government of US President Donald Trump has more understanding and sensitivity to the issue of extradition of cleric Fethullah Gülen, which has its headquarters in the US, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said today.
Speaking to members of the ruling AK Party in parliament, Yildirim said that talks are ongoing with US officials on the issue of Gulen, whom Ankara accuses of orchestrating the coup that took place last July in Turkey. The priest denies the accusation.
