According to statistics presented today in Rome, between 2008 and 2015, 509,000 people migrated abroad from Italy in search of work.
The first destination is Germany, where only 20,000 Italians were registered in the register of permanent residents in 2015. The second, steadily rising, was Britain and third France.
At the same time, the so-called internal migration, a phenomenon that was particularly pronounced in the post-war era, was also boosted. From 2008 to 2015, 273,000 inhabitants were transferred from Nothern Italy to the Northern laws of the country, and another 110,000 settled in central Italy. Job search, therefore, remains the main social priority for the country.
