One dead from knife attack at a railway station in Munich
A man badly injured by knife attack that had received earlier today at a railway station near Munich succumbed to his injuries in hospital, reported the public Bayerische Rundfunk and the German television network ARD.
The prosecutor's office announced that the attack made by an armed man has "advance Islamist" motivation.
The man who died was among the four victims of the attack. The other three with slight wounds.
"The political motivation for carrying out this attack certainly can not be ruled out," he said earlier representative of police of Upper Bavaria. The gunman, "a young man", was arrested and "not very cooperative." This man "handed stab wounds around him," the spokesman said.
The attack occurred at around 05.00 am local time (0700 GMT) at the railway station Gkrafingk, a small town south of Munich.
