The agreement on refugees and immigrants should continue to apply

Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Chancellor Angela Germany Merkel agreed today that Ankara needs to discuss with the EU institutions regarding the concerns of Brussels for the Turkish anti-terror legislation to extend application of the critical agreement on the issue immigrants and refugees.

Communication from the Turkish Presidency says Erdogan and Merkel agreed on the sidelines of the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul, on the need to continue cooperation against irregular migration.

The EU has promised to abolish visas for Turks wishing to travel to the Schengen Area as part of the agreement for the crisis of refugees and migrants if Ankara fulfill a number of criteria, including changes in the Turkish anti-terror legislation, which is considered too broad . But Erdogan argues that Ankara can not alter the legal framework on terrorism currently battling both the Islamic State, and Kurdish separatist guerrillas.
