O average monthly incomes threatened by poverty in Germany is EUR 719 and therefore are 30% below the official limit of 1,033 euros. This stems from the statistics of Eurostat, which were released at the request of the parliamentary group of the German party "The Left" (Die Linke) in Bountestak.
In Germany, therefore, too many people live well below the average official poverty since while in 2015 this income amounted to EUR 1,033 per month, now stands at just 719 euros! According to the EU definition threatened by poverty is someone who lives with less than 60% of the average income of the total population of a country.
"; And already with 1,033 euros per month life (in Germany) is a permanent struggle to pay the bills," he said in Saarbrucker Zeitung newspaper the Sabine Tsimerman, expert of Die Linke on social issues. "Millions of people have at their disposal significantly less money and often lack the necessities of life," she said in the German newspaper, which published these figures.
