Pope Francis: The EU is in danger of dying without ideals such as solidarity
Pope Francis said, before EU leaders are to the Vatican on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, that the Old Continent is faced today with an "empty values" and "danger of death" if not find out new ideals of its founding fathers, such as solidarity and condemned the anti-immigrant populism and extremism which constitute a deadly threat to the Union.
"When a body loses track of where it's going and can no longer look forward, experiencing a setback and long-term risk of dying," he pointed out the head of the Roman Catholic Church.
