Merkel is favorite for the Nobel Peace Prize, according to Bild The German Bild newspaper has estimated today that German Chancellor Angela Merkel are among the favorites to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, which will be awarded next Friday, for its role in refugee crisis and the crisis in Ukraine

"German Chancellor Angela Merkel has good chances to receive the Nobel Peace Prize," the newspaper notes to the relevant article in the front page.

Yesterday Thursday Charpviken Christian Berg, director of the Institute for Peace Research (Prio) in Oslo and one of the experts advising the Committee of Nobel Peace Prize, had predicted the victory of Merkel, though rarely been confirmed in its estimation.

"The Angela Merkel will be honored with the Nobel Peace Prize," he said at a press conference.

"I believe that the European crisis --The refugees rather we should say the global crisis with refugees because an equally dramatic unfolding refugee crisis in large parts of eastern Asia; will grab the attention of the Nobel committee this year," explained Charpviken .

"Angela Merkel is the one that has taken a leading role" on the subject in Europe, he added.
