The Syrian opposition will not make concessions despite the defeat in Aleppo

The representative of the Syrian opposition Riyadh Hijab bring home today that the prevalence of the Syrian army in Aleppo not diminish the resolve of opponents of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to oust him from power.

"If Assad and his allies believe that their military advance in some districts of Aleppo will mean our own concessions, then (declare) that this will not happen. You will not make any concession, "said Hijab reporters after his meeting with the President of France Francois Hollande.

Earlier today Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Syrian government forces now control 95% of Aleppo and the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights has stated that the Aleppo battle comes to an end.

The Hijab accused Moscow that implements two double standard when it argues that the opposition constantly sets conditions for peace talks when in fact the opponents of Assad want to implement the United Nations resolutions adopted by Russia.

"The Russians signed the resolution. Why not apply? Why they did not stop bombing? Why not remove the blockades imposed along with the regime of Assad, with Shiite militias and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard? "He wondered.

"The Syrians are dying of hunger. We want a real political transition; that would allow Syria to change from a dictatorship to a democratic state, "he said Hijab chairing the Higher Negotiating Committee of the Syrian opposition.

At the same time he accused the Syrian forces and that Russia is unwilling and unable to fight the jihadists of the Islamic State.
