Obama committed to sending humans to Mars by 2030
A manned mission to Mars in the next 15 years envisages the US president Barack Obama, who pledged to work with private companies to "create new ecosystems" that will be able to sustain the astronauts while transporting them to distant missions space.
"We have set a clear goal, essential for the next chapter of American history at the time: to send humans to Mars by 2030 and return safely to Earth," said Obama in opinion article published in the American website CNN television network.
