US: Train Derailment caused wounding 29 people
Passenger train of the Long Island Rail ektrochiasthike yesterday near the community of New Hyde Park, New York, resulting in injury to 29 people and to stop the trains running in both directions of their sensitive line, today announced railway operators. At the time no official information about the circumstances of the accident, which occurred around 21.00 (04.00 Greek time today), when a passenger train rammed train operations about 32 miles east of Manhattan, police said.
So far it is not clear if the work train was stopped at the time of collision.
According to official County of Nassau, the 29 wounded are already hospitalized with wounds that do not pose a risk to their lives, such as fractures and concussion. Dozens of others were on-site medical attention for abrasions and contusions.
