O Obama acquired personal page on Facebook
The White House yesterday launched the personal page of US President Barack Obama on Facebook, and used the site of social networks to send a message about climate change.
Organizing Organizing for Action (Organized for Action), which helped to elect Obama, had long open account with the name of the president.
But this new page allows the same the president to speak directly, in first person, the public, as was his account in Twitter, the short messaging site, launched by the White House in May.
In tone loose conversation, Obama spoke on video posted to his first message on climate change. Walking on the south side of the garden of the White House and admiring the beauty of nature, he says, "Hello, Facebook!
Finally, I have my own page. On inaugurate inviting you to accompany me on a walk in the backyard of my house - something I try to do at the end of the day, before I go for my evening meal. "
In the video, Obama urges Americans to take their responsibility to combat climate change.
"I want to make sure that the whole world will be able to bequeath to future generations the God-given beauty of this planet," Obama stressed, also referred to his trip to Paris next month for the leaders of the climate conference.
"If the whole America united for this important work, then we can make sure we do the right thing for future generations, and [that] bequeath to our children all the blessings we have received," he said.
