B. Putin: I will tell Assad to resign - Help in Damascus as needed



Russian President Vladimir Putin said today that he feels he has no "right" to ask the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to relinquish power as demanded by Western and Arab countries.

The Russian president also said in interview to the Russian Interfax news agency and Turkish East that the Russian air force has already hit some targets in Syria which pointed the Free Syrian Army, which, as stated, denies allegations that Moscow bombards the moderate opposition.

Putin, speaking before the meeting of the Group of Twenty (G20) in Turkey also said that Russia has all the necessary financial and technical resources to continue the air campaign in Syria as long as the Syrian army needs Russian support .

Referring to Turkey, the Russian president said that Moscow's differences with Ankara on the crisis in Syria are real, but should not harm bilateral relations.

Moreover spokesman Kremlin said, according to Russian news agency RIA Novosti, that the Russian leadership believes that the attack unleashed by the Syrian army against the insurgents is effective and how, with the help of Russian air raids, the Syrians are making significant progress .

Kremlin spokesman Yuri Usakov noted that "not officially down" during the G20 meeting of Putin with US President Barack Obama. "But not the presidents ruled talk within the framework of the summit program," he added.

The Usakov also made known that Vladimir Putin will travel to Iran on November 23, making his first official visit to this country since 2007.
