Brussels and Washington condemning the new missile test Pyongyang
North Korea must end its "illegal" ballistic missile program, the only utility of which is increasing tensions in the region, warned the European Union today, after testing three ballistic missiles which Pyongyang went today.
North Korea "must cease all missile launches (...) and to leave the ballistic program finally and irrevocably", in a way that can be verified by the international community, the EU said in a statement issued from Brussels .
The US for its part also condemned the missile tests and a senior official said Washington would work to "strengthen the resolve" of the international community and to make Pyongyang accountable for its actions.
"Today, careless launches from North Korea threaten civil aviation and maritime trade in the region. We remain adamant in our commitment to the defense of our allies against these threats," the US official.
