France: New negative poll for Hollande


François Hollande would be excluded in any case from the first round if seek a new term in the presidential elections 2017 in France, according to a survey published today confirms that the final duel for the Elysee will take place between the right and extreme right.

The poll by TNS-One Point of Le Figaro newspaper and informational network LCI examines nine scenarios of the left and right candidates. In each of these, the outgoing socialist head of state arrives in fourth or fifth place in the first round.

The intention to vote in favor of Hollande has fallen at a rate without precedent (11% to 15%) and former economy minister in the government, Emmanuel Makris, who resigned last week, would overcome the systematic if run against it.

In all scenarios considered in the second round of the 2017 elections, the candidate of the right-wing opposition, former President Nicolas Sarkozy and former Prime Minister Alain Alain Juppe, will confront the president of the far-right National Front's Marine Le Pen.
