Cavusoglu: The Turkish government is under "enormous pressure" from the people to put an end to the accession talks



The Turks are frustrated by "the double standards" applied by the European Union to respect their country after the failed coup attempt of July 15 and carry "huge pressure" on the government to put an end to the accession negotiations, supported by the Turkish Foreign Minister.

The Mevlut Cavusoglu accused the EU that address criticisms neighbors but does not want to be criticized and it in turn. The Turks were disappointed by the fact that not visited nor statements of support after the coup, he said.

"The Turkish people see the double standards," said Cavusoglu at a regional security forum taking place in Bled, Slovenia. "We accept enormous pressure to stop the negotiation process", he added.

Moreover in Ankara spokesman Recep Tayyip Erdogan president, Ibrahim Kalin, said he is out of the question whether to delay until the end of the year the abolition of visas for Turkish citizens visiting the EU, adding that remain to be resolved only minor importance.

The Kalin told the NTV television network that he believes that the remaining issues will be resolved soon. The German newspaper Welt am Sonntag wrote Sunday that Turkey is willing to delay until the end of time, instead of through October, the abolition of visas.
