Canceled the ban on bullfighting in Catalonia
Spain's Constitutional Court today annulled Article Regional Law which prohibits conducting bullfighting in Catalonia, considering that the adoption of this prohibition constitutes an excess of powers by this Spanish region, was known by a judicial source.
"Catalonia has the power to make regulations with respect to the spectacles and protect animals (...), but bullfighting is part of the cultural heritage" of Spain, making it the responsibility of the Spanish State, explained the Spanish source explaining the rationale for canceling the ban.
