There is increasing evidence that Chancellor Merkel will be a candidate for a fourth term

More and more executives and close associates of Chancellor of Angela Germany Merkel say they expect the head of the German government will put reapply in order to claim a fourth term in the prime minister in 2017, although the popularity rates have fallen because of impact of the refugee crisis and its policy.

The 62chroni Merkel, who was elected in 2005, repeatedly has avoided comment on whether it will put reapply in 2017, claiming it would reveal its intentions in due course. In September he stated that it has not ruled out.

A senior partner of German Chancellor nevertheless stated that it sees another realistic alternative for president of the Christian Democrats (CDU)? a role that probably will take a person who is a candidate for the chancellery.

"To my knowledge there is no one else who is preparing to run for this position," stated Peter Tauber, general secretary of the CDU, when asked if he expects to run other strains except Merkel, for the position of head of party in the conference to be held in December.

In an interview with the newspaper Tagesspiegel on Sunday, the Tauber emphasized the view supported by Angela Merkel same, namely that the same person should assume the roles of party chairman and chancellor.

In addition, the Defence Minister Ursula von der Laien, a CDU member for which often have circulated rumors that a potential successor to Merkel told a gathering of senior officers of the armed forces today he hopes will continue to serve the country from this position and after the elections.

Moreover another member of the CDU, the Anegkret Crumb Karenmpaouer, Prime Minister of the Land Saarland, noted on the vote of the head of the party: "There will be a woman candidate." Then he added that the party will elect this candidate by a large majority.

Although Angela Merkel is considered one of the most successful Chancellor in modern history of Germany its popularity is down after its decision last year to welcome the country hundreds of thousands of immigrants and refugees.
