M. Renzo: The referendum of December 4 aims to be more political stability

The Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi defended today his campaign for a referendum on the revision of the country's Constitution, noting that the state reform proposed will reduce bureaucracy, provide more political stability and Europe will help to make stronger.

"I'll do everything I can" to the result of the referendum of December 4 is positive, said Renzo speaking in Italian at the White House, which gave a joint press conference with US President Barack Obama. The reform of the state "is something that will simplify things in our country," he said.

But even if the revision is not approved it will not be a "major disaster" for Italy, continued the prime minister of Italy, who explained that his goal is to have more government stability in a country that has seen 60 governments since 1946.

Moreover, Renzo said that his country continues to support the coalition that is fighting against jihadist organization Islamic State.

On this issue, "the Italian objectives consistent with US objectives (...) For this we are committed to work together with the international coalition, starting from Iraq, in Mosul, where Italian troops support an operation to save the dam of Mosul "said Renzo.

Italy has given the US the opportunity to conduct raids against IK from the airbase Sigkonela Italy.
