Quartet in Berlin about the Ukrainian crisis


The Oykranos Proedros Porosenko Peter agreed to a meeting "in the shape of Normandy," as it is called, in Berlin today October 19 which will involve Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine to discuss the conflict in eastern Ukraine, stated a communication adopted in Kiev.

The fighting between Ukrainian troops and supported by Russia rebels seeking autonomy in the region have resulted in the deaths of more than 9,600 people since 2014, despite the ceasefire agreed in Minsk capital of Belarus.

The Porosenko agreed to join the talks during telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande, it refers to the Presidency statement.

"The sides agreed at a meeting of Heads of State in Normandy shape in Berlin on October 19 in order to put pressure on Russia to fulfill the security package" of the Minsk agreements, according to the statement.
