Egypt: Innocent former president Mubarak for involvement in the killing of protesters in 2011


The Supreme Court of Appeal of Egypt acquitted today the former country's president Hosni Mubarak on charges of involvement in the killing of protesters during the uprising in 2011 which resulted in the termination of the 30 governance of, a final decision can lead to the release the former president.
After a day-long hearing, the judge Ahmed Abdel Kau said: "The court declared the accused innocent."
The court also dismissed the lawyers of the families of victims to reopen the process of political actions, leaving no remaining option for appeal or retrial.
Earlier Hosni Mubarak denied that he had any involvement in the killing of demonstrators.
Mubarak, 88 years old, was convicted of first instance to life imprisonment in 2012 on charges of conspiring to murder 239 demonstrators, spreading chaos and creating a security vacuum during an uprising that lasted 18 days, which began in January 2011, but an appeals court ordered a retrial.
The retrial peaked in 2014 when Egyptian court dismissed the charges. But the general prosecutor had appealed the decision and ordered a retrial by the Supreme Court of Appeal of Egypt.
