Nt.Tousk: In negotiating the Brexit will preceed the interests of the 27, not Britain
The European Council President Donald Tusk said tonight that it will start negotiations between Brussels and London for Brexit if Britain is not officially refer to the mechanism for withdrawal from the EU.
At a press conference after the informal Bratislava summit, Tusk said it is clear that the negotiations will preceed the interests of the other 27 EU member states and not Britain.
The Polish president of the European Council also noted that the EU is well prepared and could start negotiations even tomorrow, but respects the British desire to delay the application of the mechanism.
