In Istanbul, the "Road to Justice" organized by the opposition

The "Justice Route", launched by Ankara on 15 June and led by Turkey's main opposition party to protest the imprisonment of a deputy, arrived today in Istanbul.

In a call to the organizer of the mobilization, the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Kemal Kijaldaroglu, responded to a magnificent crowd, which today flooded the streets to be visible from far away, a journalist from the French Agency reported. CHP spoke about 45,000 people who took part in the process.

The only slogan on the lips of everyone: "Justice".

The participants traveled a distance of more than 400 kilometers with a starting point for the Turkish capital. The move is expected to end on Sunday with a gathering in Maltepe, near Istanbul, in front of the prison where Enis Berberoglu, a CHP deputy convicted of 25 years in prison, has been jailed since 14 June because he revealed state secrets.

"Today we are entering Constantinople and I am delighted," Kilicdaroglu said today, expressing satisfaction that "there was not a single wounded" on a long journey.

While the crowd crossed an industrial zone, many workers came out of the factories or windows to greet the participants and applaud them. In addition, the horns of passing cars sounded to indicate solidarity from the drivers.

"Together, this Sunday, July 9, we will complete our course," Kilicdaroglou said.

It will not end "our search for Justice," he added.
