"Maybe it was difficult for us to accept that in our open society, among us, there are people, Swedish citizens, drawn up with the killers of the Islamic State", he added.
The Swedish prime minister even said that at today's extraordinary meeting of EU justice and interior ministers in Brussels will propose the adoption of biometric passports at the borders of the Schengen area as the Athens Press Agency reported.
The Leuven gave no further details, but added that Sweden may allow more extensive monitoring of public spaces through cameras and give early perissotes powers to control Internet communications such as Skype.
At the same time he referred to the burning issue of the European citizens traveling in the Middle East to fight alongside the IK, some of them returning to their homelands radicalized and ready to launch attacks.
The Säpo announced this week that almost 300 people have Swedish passports have gone to fight alongside jihadists and about 120 of them have returned to the country.
"Sweden will never become a safe haven for terrorism and terrorists," said Ghent. "The message to those traveling from Sweden to commit crimes against humanity in other countries is that if they return, they will be confronted with the police, are brought to justice and punished."
In Sweden there have been many attacks, although in 2010 a suicide bomber caused the light wounding two people in a shopping street in Stockholm when prematurely triggered the explosives brought.
