Berlin has a message that can not trust the word of Turkey on the imprisoned journalist

In the German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel raised the question how the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan may know that the arrested journalist of the newspaper Die Welt Deniz Yücel is a spy before we tried the Turkish justice.

"If Turkey is really a rule of law as claimed by Mr. Erdogan, I wonder what he already knows and can say before the trial began that Deniz Yücel is a terrorist and spy" was the answer of the head of German diplomacy in German Der Spiegel magazine which gave the interview to be published tomorrow.

Berlin also points out that Turkey's claim that Yücel worked as a German spy is "completely unfounded."

The Der Spiegel also wrote that the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim promised German Chancellor Angela Merkel consular access to Yücel in a telephone conversation between them on March 4 but Ankara did not fulfill its promise.

"It would be frustrating if we could no longer rely on word of Turkish Prime Minister," said Sigmar Gabriel.
