The Netherlands urged its citizens in Turkey to be vigilant


The Netherlands urged its citizens in Turkey to be vigilant to new travel advisory issued after a troubled weekend which led to a diplomatic crisis Hague relations with Ankara.

"From between Turkey and the Netherlands March 11 no diplomatic tension" refers to the statement of the Dutch Foreign Ministry: "remain vigilant and avoid gatherings and crowded places."

Ankara called the Dutch charge d'affaires to protest police intervention in Rotterdam

Turkey called on the Dutch charge d'affaires in Ankara to protest the actions of the Rotterdam police against Turkish demonstrators at the weekend, said sources in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

In a diplomatic note, the Turkish Foreign Ministry says that the police intervention was disproportionate and asks to hear justice, explained the sources.

The Dutch police used police dogs and water pumps to disperse hundreds of protesters who had sygkenthrothei outside the Turkish consulate in Rotterdam. Some protesters threw bottles and stones and others were beaten by police.

The Turkish protests living in Holland organized when the Dutch authorities banned entry to Turkey Family Affairs Minister consulate from which they were asked not to come to Holland, and then the deported.
