President Trab is committed to "fighting anti-Semitism" in all its forms

US President Donald Trub has pledged today that he will "fight anti-Semitism" in all its forms, in a prominent attempt to turn a page, following the controversy that broke out on this issue at the beginning of his term.

"Today, we honor the memory of six million Jews, men, women and children, whose dreams have been uprooted from this earth." We remember the millions of other innocent Nazi victims, "the US president said at a ceremony held in Congress by the Holocaust Museum Of Washington.

"The denial of the Holocaust is one of the many forms of dangerous anti-Semitism that is always present throughout the world," he added, in the presence of the survivors of the concentration camps.

"We will fight anti-Semitism, I commit myself," he continued, addressing, among other things, anti-Semitism in campuses or in public places.

"As president of the United States, I will always be at the side of the Jewish people and our great friend and partner, Israel," continued Trab. "Today we are mourning, remembering, praying and giving a promise: never again" he concluded.

The ceremony was completed with Kadi, the Hebrew prayer for the dead.

A few days after he took office, on January 20, a controversy broke out because Trab, on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, issued a statement that made no reference to the Jews. The Republican president was also criticized for not reacting directly to the recent anti-Semitic episodes that have taken place in the US recently.
