Czech President: We will not accept Muslim immigrants

O Czech President Miloš Zeman reiterated during the Christmas message that aired today, the refusal of the Czech Republic to host "Muslim immigrants" and railed against the European Union, which according to him, is "incompetent and bureaucratic".

"To welcome Muslim immigrants, which will be difficult to integrate into our country, it would mean that we would create a nursery (capable to lead to) any terrorist actions" Zeman pointed out in his message that aired several television networks in the country.

"Almost no one now denies today the relationship between emigration and terrorist attacks," added the head of the Czech state, who was elected in early 2013.

"That is why I oppose the idea according to which it would be good to host in our country over the next two years about 6,200 immigrants in a, so called, voluntary basis, which is almost the same with the mandatory quotas," he said.

Milos Zeman instead advocated providing "assistance to migrants in their country of origin or in neighboring countries", as well as to provide assistance in Italy and Greece, countries that "faced with the wave of immigration."
