At least 35 are the dead miners from the explosion that took place in a mine in the province of Golestan in northern Iran, according to statements by the competent Minister for Labor and Social Welfare, Ali Rabie.
Dozens of other miners have been injured since the explosion, and more than 30 have been taken to hospitals.
