Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his American counterpart, Rex Tillerson, will discuss "de-escalation zones" in Syria when they meet in Alaska later this month, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said today.
Lavrov and Tillerison have already agreed to talk during the Arctic Council to be held in Alabama's Fairbanks on May 10 and 11.
Moscow and Washington will continue talks on the creation of "de-escalation zones" in Syria, Bogdanov explained.
"These contacts and consultations will continue," he said. "As far as I know, the State Department has issued communications in favor of the results in Astana."
