Extraordinary! BIG win in Greece for German compensation!
Important Greek victory took some time before the Meeting of Coordinators of the European Parliament's Committee on Petitions as well as after several recriminations accepted the proposal of the Independent MEP
, Vice President of European Antifenteraliston and Head of the Political Movement anti-memorandum Citizens Prof. Noti Maria is admissible under the no. 2214/14 Report of the Panhellenic Union of National Resistance Fighters and the Democratic Army of Greece (PEAEA-TER) for German compensation.
Despite the systematic efforts of several cycles to close any debate on the issue of German reparations to the European Parliament Petitions Committee on the unrealistic argument that supposedly the issue of German reparations is not within the competence of the Committee on Petitions, ultimately accepted the fullest Lecture Notis Maria which indeed overturned and relevant prior Opinion of the Legal Service of the European Parliament.
This followed the submission of objections by the Noti Maria on behalf of Europeans Antifenteraliston against the recommendation of the Chairman of the Committee on Petitions requested to reject the above under no. 2214/14 Report as supposedly non-admissible.
The proposal of Noti Maria, who is also the only Greek MEP among the seven coordinators of the Committee, voted in favor of the Europeans Antifenteralistes, the European left, the Five Star Movement and the European Greens.
Then moderators after news Presentation of Noti Maria decided to be sent by the letter Petitions Committee in Greece, Germany and the European Commission to express their views in writing for German war reparations, the Force occupation loan and Allowances of Relatives of Victims executed by German occupation forces in Distomo and other towns and villages of Greece.
So it is the first time that Germany is invited by the European Parliament to topothetiei writing, publicly and officially the issue of German war reparations. The era of secret diplomacy and katidian informal meeting on the question of German reparations ended now gone.
Please note that late last night Notis Marias on the occasion of the debate on antisimistismo made intervention in plenary of the European Parliament in Brussels for the German allowances and the 71th anniversary of the liberation of Athens from the German occupation forces.
