Germany: The controls at the country's borders will remain as the November 1
The German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere told Brussels that Berlin intends to extend the controls at its borders, which began to limit the influx of refugees and immigrants in the country through Austria as November 1st. In a letter sent by de Maiziere to the European commissioner responsible for immigration Dimitris Avramopoulos informs him that controls at the German border will be extended for 20 days until the November 1st. The measure mainly concerns Germany's border with Austria.
Because "the ongoing, uncontrolled, large influx (refugees) from third countries" and to ensure "security and order" is required to remain in force so far, it is noted in the letter.
