Libya rejected the UN proposal to form a national unity government
In Libya the internationally recognized parliament rejected on Monday the UN proposal calling for the formation of a national unity government, parliamentarians said, managing a blow to efforts to end the political crisis.
The parliament, which has moved its headquarters in eastern Libya, said he will continue to participate in peace talks under UN auspices with the opponent's parliament and government that have their headquarters in the capital Tripoli.
Almost four years after the fall of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, Libya remains mired in chaos with two parliaments and two rival governments, the General National Congress where the Islamist militia Fatzr Libby dominates (Dawn Libya) based in Tripoli and another government, based in Tobruk, which the international community recognizes.
